Kayaking along the Ocqueoc

River at sunset, a dragonfly rested on the bow of my vessel.

As daylight peacefully gave way to the dusk I was inspired

by the iridescent purples and blues of my fragile guest.

Sharing the peaceful solitude of the day's end I became enamored

of the quiet reflection of the smallest of friends.
